, Chairman of the Economic Development and Investment Committee, Atyaf Zuhair Al-Tamimi, confirmed today, Sunday, that the governorate has become attractive and safe for investors from various countries of the world.
Al-Tamimi stated in an interview with Mawazine News, “The Economic Development and Investment Committee in Basra Governorate is moving towards attracting more investment companies to the region,” noting that “Basra has turned into a safe and attractive city for investors.”
She added, "This step is in response to the noticeable improvement in the security conditions and political stability that Basra Governorate has witnessed recently, which made it a preferred destination for national and international investments."
He pointed out "the high rates of confidence in the investment environment in Basra Governorate, which reflects the tireless efforts made by the local authorities to improve the infrastructure and provide a suitable environment for business."
