Parliament: We coordinate with the competent regulatory authorities to examine medicines

The Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee intensified its efforts to resolve discussions on the laws presented before the committee, noting the high coordination with the Ministry of Health regarding the control of medicines and ensuring their entry through the standardization and
quality control system.
Committee member, Mahasen Al-Dulaimi, explained, “The committee will discuss the Health Professions Law soon, as it is among the most important laws. We have completed writing many laws, including the Radiation Authority Law, and the Human Organ Transplant Law after it was stalled in Parliament for more than two years.”
Al-Dulaimi added, in an interview with “Al-Sabah,” that “the committee seeks to solve the problems of those in health professions, in addition to the health department’s work to stabilize drug pricing by activating the law in coordination with the competent authorities.”
She indicated that the committee “coordinates with the relevant authorities in the Ministry of Health and the regulatory and security authorities, in order to tighten the procedures for monitoring drug pricing in pharmacies, in addition to monitoring stocks and emphasizing the examination of medicines through the quality evaluation and control device, and monitoring the entry of medicines through ports through importing companies.” .
