The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers denied, today, Friday, that the “Gharamah” platform had been subjected to electronic hacking.
The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers said in a statement received by Mawazine News, “The National Data Center in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers denies what has been circulated recently regarding the exposure of the “Gharamah” platform to an electronic hacking, as the platform that was hosted within the portal has stopped working on it. Since the beginning of last March, in coordination with the General Traffic Directorate, coinciding with the activation of the trial operation of smart cameras by the General Traffic Directorate, no data has been exposed to hacking.”
The center explained - according to the statement - that “the management and updating of data for the aforementioned platform during its period of operation is the responsibility of the General Traffic Directorate,” indicating that “the technical teams at the center are continuing to secure the hosting services on the government website “Ur,” and that all necessary security measures have been taken. To protect these services, including the General Traffic Directorate’s services platform, the Center also reassures the public that all users’ personal information is safe and protected, and there is no truth to what was reported by the media and social media platforms regarding a data leak.”
