    Political analyst Qasim Al-Tamimi expected, today, Thursday, that the crisis of the presidency of Parliament within the Sunni House would end through a deal, indicating the possibility of political money being present in the deal.
    Al-Tamimi told Al-Maalouma, “The crisis of the Presidency of Parliament may end through a political deal between the parties of the Sunni House, and political money may be present to ensure the passage of one of the candidates for the Presidency of the Council and the withdrawal of the other candidate.”
    He continued, "All options are expected about 5 months after the dismissal of Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi on charges of forgery, as his party still clings to the presidency of Parliament and considers it a right for it, although the choice must be made democratically and decided by members of the House of Representatives."
    The Iraqi Parliament witnessed a fistfight between representatives from the Taqaddum Alliance, the rival Sovereignty Alliance, and the Azm Alliance, which required intervention from members of Parliament’s protection.
    The session was adjourned due to the quarrel, but before that, a vote was held to elect the Speaker of Parliament, and Salem Al-Issawi, the candidate for the Sovereignty Alliance led by Khamis Al-Khanjar, advanced over Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, the candidate for the Taqaddam Alliance, with 158 votes compared to 137 for Al-Mashhadani, while the third competitor, Amer Abdul-Jabbar, received, Only three votes.
    None of these candidates won the presidency of Parliament because the candidate must obtain half the votes of the representatives, plus one, that is, 166 votes out of the votes of 329 representatives in the Iraqi Parliament. End 25 n
