{Economic: Al-Furat News} An economic expert expected that there would be changes in next year’s budget, 2024.
Salah Nouri told Al-Furat News Agency, “It is very expected that changes will occur, such as what happened in the 2024 budget.”
It is likely that these changes will affect “salaries under the proposed salary law, and some investment projects according to the government program, most notably those related to the electricity crisis, and the Popular Mobilization Forces budget.”
Changes will also occur “in the allocations of the Kurdistan region and the governorates in light of the new council elections,” according to Nouri.
It is noteworthy that the House of Representatives voted on June 3 on the 2024 budget schedules.
