Hanoun added, “The Integrity Commission is in the process of preparing a new effective strategy for 6 years from 2025-2030. The strategy will include not only cooperation with official institutions, participation with the private sector, civil society, investigative journalism, and the use of technology, but what is new is giving a wide scope to stakeholders in building society’s capabilities in Combating corruption and building a real society, namely (women and youth), as well as those with scientific and professional capabilities, to have a role in the strategy.”
He pointed out that “strategies are not an easy matter, but rather a practical application. In Iraq, we seek to implement the strategies in the federal authorities and to go to the local authorities so that the provincial councils are a key partner in implementing the strategies in the provinces in accordance with the foundations stipulated in the law of provinces that are not organized into a region.”
