Launched in Erbil yesterday evening Forum Middle East for reconciliation and dialogue with the participation of representatives from over 10 countries in addition to the political leaders and intellectuals. And saw the first meeting of the forum to discuss the situation in the disputed areas in the light of the differences between Erbil and Baghdad. 

The head of the Middle East Institute for Studies, Dlor Aladdin, in an interview for the «Middle East» that «the importance of such forums lies in the study of the outstanding problems and make way for politicians map, and the convergence of views between the decision makers, process almost destitute reconciliation among politicians, and points Altqaúhm become a few, so we prepare academically neutral atmosphere to facilitate dialogue between the parties to this process.

He added that today's meeting «will be allocated for organizing Daash and ways to save hard-pressed communities on her, while there will be a special policy of Turkey in the region, and the role of Ankara in the changing Middle East equations session, as well as Iran's role in the political equation, and the situation that we are experiencing and then look US policy in the long run in the region. » 

And attend hearings current Prime KRG Barzani and former Barham Salih. Aladdin and added that the third day would be a purely Iraqi, and will participate in meetings Iraqi decision-makers to discuss relations between Erbil and Baghdad and crises facing Iraq.

And participated in the first meeting, Mohammed Ihsan former minister in the government of the region and is responsible for the affairs of the disputed areas and Torhan Mufti MP for the Turkmen Front in the Iraqi Council of Representatives, and Professor Gareth Stansfield, American expert on Middle East affairs, and Marwan Ali, the representative of Iraq to the United Nations Mission in Baghdad (UNAMI). The details of the problem dealt with interventions in the disputed areas and successive Iraqi governments attempts to change the demographic reality of these areas and stressed that the solution will be the components of this agreement, particularly the areas of Kirkuk. 

In turn, Torhan Mufti stressed during the debate on the need for the establishment of military forces from the people of Kirkuk to protect themselves and the city received the security file. 

For his part, said the journalist Hiwa Osman, one of the participants in the forum, told «Middle East» that «the changes on the ground may not mean anything, when things calm down in Iraq, we have seen before that Saddam Hussein changes on the ground did not mean a thing, as well as changes ( Daash) on the ground does not mean anything, so it must be that these changes will be in the political context, what is happening today from a temporary change to a large extent because it is a result of the war happened and abnormal conditions, and I think it difficult to build solutions permanently on so exceptional circumstances ». 

Othman stressed that so forums express the task in bringing the views «We are accustomed to see like in London, Washington, Paris and Ankara, and this is the second time that the region is witnessing such a forum was held after Sulaymaniyah Forum, to discuss Iraqi issues in Iraq and not outside, and this is is very important. »
