Barzani in Baghdad to end Erbil's problems with the center

Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) leader Masoud Barzani is expected to visit Baghdad, in a sign of the current positivity in relations between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government.
Kurdish sources revealed that "Barzani will arrive in Baghdad today, Wednesday, to hold a series of discussions and negotiations with most political leaders to find a final solution to the existing problems between the two sides."
She added that "the ground of disagreement between Baghdad and Erbil extends to include several issues, including the region's financial allocations, employee salaries, the oil and gas law, the elections file, and the position on Kirkuk Governorate, whose council has not succeeded in electing its local government despite the passage of more than 6 months since the elections were held."
The sources expected that "Barzani's negotiations in Baghdad will include the recent incursion of the Turkish army into Dohuk Governorate and other Kurdish cities."
A delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government arrived in Baghdad last Monday, and it seems that it came in preparation for Barzani's visit. The delegation includes Interior Minister Rebar Ahmed, Finance and Economy Minister Awat Sheikh Janab, and the Director General of Customs and Border Crossings.
For his part, the representative of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Sherwan Al-Dobardani, revealed in a press interview that "Masoud Barzani will visit the capital, Baghdad, today, Wednesday, and will meet with the leaders of the political parties, in addition to the Prime Minister, the President of the Republic, and the President of the Supreme Judicial Council."
He explained that "the issue of joint committees between Baghdad and Erbil will be discussed, as things are positive and most problems are solved through committees."
