Over the past two days, exchange rates have witnessed a remarkable stability in the exchange rates of the US dollar against the Iraqi dinar in the Iraqi stock exchange markets, with a difference of approximately 18-19 points from the official price.
With the opening of local markets in Baghdad, today, Saturday (July 20, 2024), the exchange rates recorded 149,250 dinars for 100 dollars, which are the same prices recorded yesterday, with a difference of half a point or a full point in some cities.
Baghdad Today correspondent confirmed that the selling prices in exchange shops in local markets in Baghdad stabilized at a selling price of 150,250 dinars, while the purchase price reached 148,500 dinars for 100 dollars.
In the Kurdistan Region, the dollar recorded a slight decrease, with the selling price reaching 149,500 dinars for every 100 dollars, and the buying price reaching 149,000 dinars for every 100 US dollars.
Also in Basra, prices hovered around 150,000 for every 100 dollars, specifically 149,000 for sale and 148,500 for purchase.
It is noteworthy that the official exchange rate of the dollar, as determined by the Central Bank, is 132,000 per 100 dollars.
