The Central Bank of Iraq's total sales of hard currency during the days of the auction opened last week amounted to more than one billion US dollars.
A source stated that the Central Bank sold during the past week and for the 5 days in which the auction was opened, one billion and 387 million and 639 thousand and 901 dollars, at a daily rate of 277 million and 527 million and 980 dollars, lower than what was recorded the previous week, when it reached one billion and 410 million. 230 million and 782 dollars.
The highest dollar sales were on Tuesday, which amounted to 283 million, 74,880 dollars, while the lowest sales were on Monday, which amounted to 279 million, 730,506 dollars.
He pointed out that sales of foreign remittances during the past week amounted to 1 billion, 316 million, 639 thousand and 901 dollars, an increase of 95% compared to cash sales, which amounted to 71 million dollars.[/rtl]
