    Baghdad Today - Baghdad
Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received today, Monday (September 2, 2024), the Finnish Ambassador to Iraq, Anu Saarela, accompanied by a delegation representing the Finnish company Wärtsilä, which specializes in energy projects.
During the meeting, according to a statement from Al-Sudani's office received by "Baghdad Today", bilateral relations and ways to develop them were discussed, especially in the fields of politics, investment, information technology and modern digital technologies, in which Finland has extensive experience.
The Prime Minister stressed that "the government has an integrated government program, and that the door is open for Finnish companies to invest in all sectors, especially the energy sector, in which a contract was signed with Wärtsilä to maintain the Samarra station, and the need to start it after it had been delayed in work since it was signed in 2019."
