The General Tax Authority announced today, Wednesday, the ratification of a joint agreement between Baghdad and Erbil to unify tax work.
The Commission stated in a statement received by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "the Ministers of Finance in the Federal Government and the Kurdistan Region approved a joint agreement to unify tax procedures and work in all tax branches in Iraq starting next week."
The statement added that "it was agreed to subject private universities and colleges to tax accounting in accordance with the Ministry of Higher Education Law No. 25 of 2016 for income and withholding taxes since 2016."
