    The head of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce, Kilan Haji Saeed, confirmed today, Monday, September 30, 2024, that during their meeting with the delegation of the Russian Chamber of Commerce in the capital, Erbil, they reached effective solutions to address the challenges facing trade movement between Russia and the Kurdistan Region.[/size]
    [size=45]In a press conference, Kilan Haji Saeed said, “Both Russia and the Kurdistan Region are seeking to strengthen their trade relations, and for this purpose, coordination will be enhanced between Russian businessmen and their counterparts in the region.”[/size]
    [size=45]Haji Saeed pointed out that “despite the lack of accurate statistics, estimates indicate that the volume of commercial exports from Russia to Iraq amounts to about $200 million annually.”[/size]
    [size=45]He added: “We discussed with the Russian Workers’ Council ways to develop trade between us, and we reached effective solutions to the problems facing businessmen from both sides, with the aim of facilitating matters in the future.”[/size]
    [size=45]In the same context, the Executive Director of the Russian-Iraqi Business Council, Maxim Malarguk, confirmed today, Monday, September 30, 2024, that progress has been made in the energy sector in the Kurdistan Region, pointing to work to remove obstacles facing cooperation between Russian businessmen and the region.[/size]
    [size=45]“Russia has significant investments in the energy sector in the Kurdistan Region,” Maxim Malarjuk told Kurdistan 24, stressing that “their visit to the region aims to enhance direct communication between Russian businessmen and their counterparts in Kurdistan.”[/size]
    [size=45]Malarjuk stressed the “necessity of removing the obstacles that hinder trade relations between Russia and the Kurdistan Region,” adding that “the energy sector in the Kurdistan Region is witnessing activity from two major Russian companies, Rosneft and Gazprom, which operate in the region.”[/size]
    [size=45]The Executive Director of the Russian-Iraqi Business Council pointed out that “Russia has achieved remarkable progress in the energy sector in the Kurdistan Region,” noting that “their visit aims to discuss the challenges facing this sector between the two sides and work to solve them.”[/size]
