Al-Sudani's advisor: A thin Iraqi thread that will not be cut, and who is Abu Ali Al-Askari?

Fadi Al-Shammari, the political advisor to the Prime Minister, said that Iraq is walking on a thin line of balance, a line that “will withstand pressures, God willing.” Al-Shammari confirmed that the government is against the military option in the resistance, denying that “Abu Ali Al-Askari” had attended the Coordination Framework meetings, asking: Can they bring us the truth about Abu Ali Al-Askari’s personality?
Fadi Al-Shammari, in an interview with the media figure Rania Nasser:
Netanyahu is a foolish person, and he benefits from the continuation of the state of war to remain in his position, and he has not achieved any of the goals he announced since October 7 of last year until now, so displaying the picture of Mr. Al-Sistani on the list of targets comes in the context of psychological warfare because they realize his importance to the Shiites in the world, and the channel that displayed the picture represents the extreme right that supports Netanyahu’s government.
The Israeli interior is seething and divided over Netanyahu, so he is trying to export the crisis in all ways, and he is facing sharp criticism within the Knesset even regarding the satellite channel in question, as the Israeli opposition stated that this channel will not help Netanyahu in exporting a fake image of victory.
There are mechanisms and institutions that are concerned with making the Iraqi external decision. The government, and behind it the Coordination Framework and the State Administration Alliance, are concerned with making the decision, and Najaf represents the compass in that. Therefore, the government is trying to walk on a thin line of balance, and this line will withstand the current pressures, God willing.
There is no single decision or consensus within the armed factions regarding the option of military action. There are factions that adopt this option, and for some time now they have begun to make their decisions in a more realistic manner in an attempt to harmonize with the vision put forward by the official decision-making institutions in Iraq.
The Iraqi government is trying to move from being affected by reactions in the region to being an influential actor as much as possible. We are now heading towards two paths: the first is diplomatic through communication with regional countries, major countries and international organizations, while the second is humanitarian relief.
The Coordination Framework and the Iraqi government adopted the statement of the authority after the martyrdom of Hassan Nasrallah as a work program, as the statement emphasized three paths: political, relief, and media. It is completely consistent with the adoptions of the Iraqi government during the past year, and we are now proceeding with it at an increasing pace.
We do not agree with the option of military action by the armed factions, which is contrary to the Shiite and national consensus, but we have the ability to resolve this dispute through dialogue. Our vision revolves around diplomatic work to reach an understanding with the United States regarding its military presence in Iraq, and this path is what brought us to the moment of the recent historic agreement to withdraw forces next year.
Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim is a great and exceptional supporter of Al-Sudani’s government. He is a politician known for being a crisis-reliever for years. The disagreement is natural within the Coordination Framework because it does not represent a single case due to the nature of its components. However, the Prime Minister’s permanent presence within the framework’s meetings contributed to calming the situation, in addition to adopting the reference’s discourse on developments in the region.
Iraq is now living in the midst of a region that represents a turbulent sea of crises, and we seek to be the party that extinguishes the fires in the region, so that what we have experienced over the past fifty years is not repeated.
There are those who want to invest in our distinguished relations with Iran and Turkey, given our partnership on the path of development, and there are those who want to invest in our partnership with the United States, which officially recognizes us as a partner, and there is an international and regional understanding of the nature of the complexity within Iraq, and there is an awareness that Iraq is not only an axis of resistance, and there is an awareness that not all of Iraq is against the axis of resistance, but we need to mature this understanding in order to play the role of the mediating state between the conflicting parties.
All previous governments, and we in the current government, officially declare that we are not with one axis against another axis. We are the middle state, because Iraq does not have one identity, and its Shiite identity is not one either. There is great cultural and political diversity within each component of the Iraqi components, and therefore we cannot be centered with one party against another.
We are all, all parties in Iraq, against the Israeli entity absolutely, but we are all in favor of forming distinguished relations with the United States, including the axis of resistance, but they have conditions that must be discussed, and the same is the case in our relations with the eastern front represented by China, Russia and Iran.
We did not indicate that the Ain al-Assad base intercepted Iranian missiles during the last strike, and all talk to the contrary is illogical and unscientific, because this base is militarily incapable of intercepting hypersonic missiles, as they fly outside the atmosphere and land directly on their targets without passing through Iraqi airspace.
There is no truth to Abu Ali Al-Askari’s attendance at the Coordination Framework meetings, and photos of those present confirm this. Whoever says otherwise should first inform us of the true identity of Abu Ali Al-Askari.
