    Finance Minister Hoshyar Zebari said that the ministry is working to reduce the budget deficit in non-oil alternatives such as increased taxes and tariffs on goods entering the country.


    Zebari said in remarks to reporters that "the ministry is working to reduce the budget deficit in 2015 through the creation of alternatives to oil such as increased taxes and tariffs on some goods entering Iraq," adding that "a lot of countries rely on their budgets on such as Britain and the United States taxes." .  And that he "will be pressure for budget expenditure to reduce the deficit, but that this pressure will not include medicine and food."  Zebari stressed that "the beginning of next year there will be a budget after the Ministerial Committee complement pressure and reduce the budget deficit and delivered to the Cabinet for approval." The supreme religious authority called Friday to resolve the political forms in the budget and there should be one look at the pressure expenses to a minimum and limited to the necessary things that have to do with people's lives. The vegetative that "the budget is long overdue because there are some obstacles in the sent and the low level of oil prices, which significantly affected the delay."  He added that "these things will not turn without sending the budget", calling on the government to "accelerate the process of completing a 2015 budget and sent to the House of Representatives in order to work on the approval." The Deputy Prime Minister Bahaa al-Araji said on the seventh of December of this, the council will finish the preparation of the general budget for 2015 in the coming days and before the fiscal year ends, and among the priorities of the exchange in the budget will be the security, health and service sectors.
