Love With All My Strength Empty Love With All My Strength

    Post by csd9013 Thu 21 Jan 2016, 8:33 am

"And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment." Mark 12:30, NKJV

When I read this scripture, I picture myself at the gym, I go over to the weight bench and put the most weight on the bar that I can handle. Then I stop and stare at it. I prepare myself to lay down and lift this bar as many times as I can, with all my strength. I already know it may get challenging toward the end, but I'm going to give it all that I have--all of my strength.

We know God wants us to love Him with our heart and soul, but we may not consider loving Him with our strength. This is truly where the rubber meets the road. Strength is our love for Him showing up in our lifestyle, how we live for Him.

God commands us to love Him with all of our strength. Stop and pray. Prepare yourself to lay your life down and love Him with all of your strength. Love Him with all of your effort, pressing forward with what He desires of you. Loving Him with giving your strength to study His Word. Loving Him through giving your wife what she needs. Loving Him by helping others. Loving Him with giving your all to perfect the gifts He put inside you. It may get difficult, but with anything God leads you to do, His grace is sufficient and He will help you. When you love Him with all your strength, just like with physical weights, you will see awesome results and reward in your life.

Prayer: Father, I do love You with all my heart and soul. Help me to love You with all of my strength. This is a real test for me, but with Your help, I can do it. I will not stare at the bench any longer. I prepare myself this morning to lay my life down for You and to give You the best that I have today. When it gets tough, make me tougher. Lead me and I thank You for great results and reward in my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
