Contractors are demanding financial entitlements and threatening to "resort" to the chest

     BAGHDAD / long-Presse

Demonstrated a number of contractors in the capital, Baghdad, on Tuesday, demanding financial entitlements, and accused the governor of Baghdad, Ali al-Tamimi a "lack of commitment to repay funds completed projects", and with threatening to Tamimi to "resort" to cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, called on Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to "intervene to recover their rights." He said the owner of a construction company named Zaid al-Jubouri said in an interview to the (long-Presse), said that "a number of contractors came out in a peaceful demonstration in front of the Baghdad governorate building, the center of Baghdad, to demand financial entitlements late after the completion of the projects that they carry them out in favor of government. "
Jubouri said that" many projects were referred to us by the province since 2012 and 2013 have been completed fully and must pay the remaining dues, "stressing that" the governor of Baghdad, Ali al-Tamimi did not abide by Order where he reviewed the province a year ago and asked us to complete projects and after the completion of surprised non-payment of outstanding sums. "
Jubouri pointed out that" our demands are legitimate and did not demand that without injections In the absence of governor Ali al-Tamimi response we will have to resort to Muqtada al-Sadr to intervene, "and urged Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to" intervene to recover Contractors rights. "
It is noteworthy that Iraq is going through financial severe crisis as a result of lower world oil prices and the repercussions of the war being waged against (Daash), and the adoption of its economy near-total for oil, which led to the suspension of the vast majority of projects in Baghdad and the provinces, and the emergence of many problems between the concerned government agencies and contractors.
