Alewi expects Nijaifi’s initiative to fail

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -MP, Karim Alewi, of the Iraqi National Alliance stated that the initiative of the parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, is too late and will not succeed due to the political disputes.
In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Friday, he said “Nijaifi’s initiative to settle the political crisis by dissolving the government and holding early elections will fail because the term of the current government will end soon and there is not time to form a new government.”
“The current term of the government will last for a year and it does not help in forming a new government or holding early election especially in the disturbed political situation,” he concluded.
