Even Clinton’s Running Mate Didn’t Learn of Pneumonia Diagnosis Until After Sunday’s ‘Medical Episode’
    Sep. 14, 2016 8:59am Mike Opelka

Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Tim Kaine (Va.) admitted Tuesday that he did not know about Hillary Clinton’s pneumonia until after the Democratic presidential nominee collapsed and needed to be helped into her car by Secret Service agents Sunday morning.
Asked when he was “notified about this pneumonia diagnosis,” Kaine told a reporter from WDIV-TV, “We talked Sunday. And I reached out to her as soon as I heard about the incident.”
The reporter pressed Kaine, asking, “Don’t you think that was a little delayed, given what could have been the seriousness of the issue?”
Kaine did not see the delay as a problem, citing a personal experience with the same illness: “I ran my first city council race in 1994, and I had pneumonia in the middle of my city council race, and I powered through it,” invoking the Clinton campaign’s now-famous talking-point — “power through.”
