Minister Hoshyar Zebari said Wednesday, with British Secretary of State
for International Energy Affairs mark Simmonds, the evolving relations
between the two countries and the two friendly countries in all fields.
The
Ministry said in a statement faxed to all Iraq [where] "Zebari met at
the headquarters of the Ministry in Baghdad, British Secretary of State
for International Energy Affairs at the British Foreign Office, in the
presence of the British Ambassador to Iraq Simon Paul.
He called, in
the presence of the Under-Secretary for political and planning
bilateral relations and head of Europe and the Director of the Office of
the Minister, the British aalnftet companies to work and invest in Iraq
".
The Minister noted that trade relations should reach the
level of political relations, and agreed to start the work of the Joint
Ministerial Commission between the two countries to develop bilateral
relations in all fields.
"The two sides discussed the Syrian
crisis and its impact on the situation in the region, in addition to the
Palestinian issue and developments.
Simmonds said, according to
the statement, expressed his best wishes for a speedy recovery to
President Jalal Talabani, and the Joint Ministerial Committee for
economic and commercial cooperation will be held next month in meetings.
