TEHRAN (Reuters) - An Iraqi delegation will arrive in Tehran on Wednesday to discuss ways to expand cooperation with Iran's electricity industry, Deputy Energy Minister Humayun Haeri said Tuesday.
"The visit of the Iraqi delegation will take two days to hold talks with Iranian companies operating in the electricity industry," Haeri was quoted as saying by the Mehr news agency.
"The delegation will make decisions on its cooperation with Iran based on its assessment of the capabilities of Iranian companies and projects available in Iraq," Haeri said.
He added that "the conditions of Iran in terms of financial transactions and payment of Iraqi debt on electricity in terms of currency and ways of conversion will be discussed with the Iraqi delegation during the meetings, and will also address the increase in the volume of Iranian electricity exports to Iraq."
