Reuters) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Sunday that his country is continuing to implement the East Euphrates operation and has notified both Washington and Moscow.
"Our forces have carried out operations in Afrin, Tripoli and the door, and now we will carry out the operation east of the Euphrates River in Syria and tell us Russia and the United States of America," Erdogan said in a speech at the opening of an important bridge in Turkey.
The Turkish Foreign Minister Mouloud Chaochoglu, has threatened last month to launch a military operation east of the Euphrates in Syria, if a safe area is not declared there, and if the dangers of this region continue to threaten Turkey.
