Tamim said, in his speech during the first meeting of the General Authority of the Board of Directors of the Private Sector in Iraq, attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “This meeting represents the beginning of the work and the basic lines to move strongly on the path to developing the private sector according to a real, sound vision based on Serious participation in the development process.”
He added: "The government seeks for the private sector to lead development in Iraq, because this sector has great potential that enables it to move forward towards achieving partnership," noting that "the private sector faced many difficulties and obstacles that kept it away from the paths of progress in different periods of time." This led to creating a state of dispersion and weakening development capabilities, but all of that did not distance him from his role and his commitment to contributing to building the nation.”
He pointed out, "The path to building and developing the private sector is not an easy matter. There are difficult challenges that we must overcome to achieve what we aspire to."
He explained, "The government has provided great support to the private sector, and is determined to provide the best conditions for its work, so the private sector must benefit from the stable environment that Iraq is witnessing."
Tamim continued, "The Ministry of Planning has made great efforts over many months, in order to reach this day, and those efforts have been crowned with many successes, represented by the approval of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani to assume the presidency of the Permanent Council for the Development of the Private Sector, and this matter in itself." It represents high value, additional strength and support for the development of the private sector.”
He explained that "the Ministry was able to choose the General Assembly of the Council, which will hold its first meeting today, and there was great keenness to have real representation of all economic and development activities falling under the private sector, taking into consideration the representation of the governorates and components without forgetting the representation of women and youth, in addition to the participation of An elite group of experts, academics, and entrepreneurship representatives.”
Tamim called for "making the utmost efforts to select the permanent council, whose goal will be to support and develop the private sector, and the main factor in finding solutions and treatments that can face the private sector in all fields."[/size]
