The Ministry of Finance and Economy in the Kurdistan Region announced, on Thursday, the deposit of a sum of 618 billion dinars into its account by the federal government to finance the salaries of employees and workers in the public sector in the region.[/size]
[size=45]The ministry said in a statement that (618) were deposited in its bank account in the Erbil branch of the Central Bank of Iraq, which constitutes only (65%) of the total financial dues of those receiving salaries in the Kurdistan Region.[/size]
[size=45]According to the statement, after the amount reaches the General Directorate of Commercial Banks affiliated with the Ministry of Finance and Economy, and with internal revenues amounting to (325) billion dinars necessary to fill the deficit, salaries will begin to be distributed to employees and those who receive them in the Kurdistan Region, starting on Friday, the 2nd of February.
