[ltr]Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, discussed individually with each of the Deputy Prime Minister, Ruz Nouri Shawis and the former parliament Speaker, Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, the political situation in Iraq.[/ltr]
[ltr]A statement by the SIIC reported “Within his visits during the holy month of Ramadan to communicate with the officials and notable clergymen, Hakim met with Shawis at the latter’s office in Baghdad where they reviewed the developments on the Iraqi arena.”[/ltr]
[ltr]“On other hand, Hakim met with the former parliament Speaker, Mashhadani and discussed with him the general situation in Iraq,” the statement added.[/ltr]
