It became the incident, in which US President Donald Trump did not respond to request for German Chancellor Angela Merkel a handshake at the end of their meeting in Washington, modern media and the world, and gave the White House interpretation of what happened.
He said White House spokesman Sean Spicer said in an interview with Der Spiegel, the German newspaper, commenting on the incident, "I do not think he (Trump) heard the request Merkel."
The German chancellor asked Trump lenses in front of the journalists, "Do you want to shake hands," but the latter did not respond, despite the fact that demand repeated on the lips of all the media and heard everybody, but to no avail.
The German newspaper commented on the incident in the past by saying, "The overall impression from this meeting was good," while the daily Bild newspaper wrote on its Web site says "Trump did not want to extend a hand to Merkel in his office" .anthy 29 / A 43
