The Kremlin said that putting forward the question of Russia giving up the support of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is ridiculous, equivalent to calls to allow terrorists to advance against the legitimate authorities in Syria.
"We consider the most important is the fight against gangs," Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters. "Secondly, we must look for a way out of the situation created by diplomatic diplomatic means, that is, a political settlement of the Syrian crisis, not resort to the use of force."
