He Alckheon that the village is the first tourism project opens in the marshes after its annexation to the World Heritage list, indicating that it includes more than 42 small island equipped with basic services , including children 's schools for elementary and complexes of drinking water.
It should be noted that the new village is located in an area locally called small Balhmarh and was previously home to a number of natural islands, before offering the Baathist regime on the dictatorial landfilled.
In the same regard, the governor of Dhi Qar Yahya Nazareth announced a deal with the concerned companies and hoteliers on the development of the tourism sector in the marsh areas of interest and archaeological sites mechanisms.
He explained Nazareth during chairing the second meeting of the development of tourism in Dhi Qar, said that the local government expanded meeting with the concerned authorities of Tourism and Antiquities sector was held in the presence of representatives of tourism companies from within the province and abroad, as well as hotel owners to discuss the most important obstacles to the development of the sector and ways to overcome them through the various circles of cooperation government on this side.
He added that Dhi Qar has an integrated program for the development of tourist areas and the provision of services, as measures contribute to facilitating the task of entering tourists through external checkpoints taken, as well as to provide better services at affordable prices, as well as tourism to provide security in the areas where visitors continued to communicate with those involved in the movement of Tourism for the purpose of overcome obstacles that might hinder their work in the future.
The meeting was attended by managers of tourist companies and hotels from Baghdad, Babil, Diwaniyah and Dhi Qar and a member of the Tourism Committee Hassan al - Asadi and directors of departments and representatives of the antiquities and revive the marshes, investment and tourism in Dhi Qar.
