    The first deputy speaker of the House of Representatives Hammam Hamoudi, on Wednesday, that the decision to obligate the ministries of the local agricultural product will be followed by similar steps and other questioning in parliament against those who will not abide by.
    "The vote of the members of parliament yesterday to the decision to oblige the border crossings to prevent the entry of imported foodstuffs and according to the schedule specified by the ministry, but came in support of the national agricultural product and the protection of the Iraqi farmer and money."
    "The success of the country is achieved by the self-sufficiency of many crops and their availability within the local markets as well as the obvious development of various types of local agriculture," adding that "such steps will be accompanied by special control measures for the underdeveloped at the border crossings."
    Hamoudi stressed that "the commitment of the parliamentary committees to follow up the government bodies behind implementation or facilitate the passage of imported materials," pointing out that "the vote yesterday will be followed by other similar resolutions to promote national products in general."
    He pointed out that "the coming period will witness firm action to question and interrogate all those committed to these resolutions calling for the promotion of national industry and agriculture."
    He added that "the steps, studies and visions that we adopt to activate the national product in general began and implementation period after the interaction of government agencies, however," adding that "there are institutions have not yet dealt with the recommendations and decisions of the executive and legislative authorities in this regard."
