It is noted in recent years that Iraq 's production of the tomato harvest began rising so that prices fall to their lowest levels and more than this that large amounts of this crop is damaged because of the large supply of them, and in return see tomato prices , a sharp rise in rates in some months the year, as is the case these days, as prices exceeded the barrier of 2,000 dinars.
To Ayazy this rise to a lack of production, as it is supposed to be, but to poor distribution, which is not limited to no other season , even in the abundance season , we may find a very low price in this province and high in the province  of
another.
Available data indicate that the tomato farms in the provinces of Karbala and Najaf , produces more than 2,400 tons per day during a seasonal winter planting and summer, and that the need for the two provinces , about 250 tons , and the remaining is 2150 tons could meet the needs of all the provinces if we managed to move them properly, but the problem is that the amounts large of this crop is exposed to damage and reduced prices in the markets of these two provinces and possibly nearby provinces , including in other provinces resort to imports from neighboring countries to meet the domestic needs of the tomato crop.
