    Yesterday, Tuesday, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi chaired the forty-eighth regular session of the Council of Ministers, in which the latest developments in the country were discussed, and the topics on the agenda were discussed.
    A statement by the Prime Minister's Media Office stated that the session witnessed a review of the epidemiological report and the measures taken to confront the Corona pandemic, and the Council of Ministers issued a number of decisions, including: changing the authority to implement border port projects contracted with the Ministry of Interior and the Border Ports Authority and future projects; To be one of the governorates in which the ports are located instead of the Ministry of Interior and the Border Ports Authority, and adding an amount of 3 billion dinars in favor of the “General Company for Communications and Informatics, one of the companies of the Ministry of Communications, to meet the costs of the International Access Gates (IGW) project for Internet services, and to add the financial allocations necessary to secure the difference in Salaries of daily wage earners working in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the year 2021.
    The Council also decided to allocate 3 billion dinars to each of the governorates' education directorates (Muthanna, Diwaniyah, Dhi Qar, Maysan, Babil, Salah al-Din); To rehabilitate and maintain schools, purchase school trips from the emergency reserve for the fiscal year 2021, and authorize the Ministry of Commerce to use the cash available in its public companies, not exceeding 300 billion dinars, for the purpose of purchasing wheat, securing food basket items, and paying farmers’ dues, as well as establishing the Ministry of The Ministry of Finance launched the funds related to the China-Iraq Framework Agreement, for which allocations are made within the Federal General Budget Law for the fiscal year/2021, according to contracts concluded with the implementing agencies.
