    Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari arrived in the United States of America, heading a high level delegation on an official visit on last Tuesday.

    A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by IraqiNews.com cited “Zebari is supposed to preside over the meetings of the fourth round of the Joint Political and Diplomatic Coordination Committee emanating from the Strategic Framework Agreement in addition to conducting a series of meetings with U.S. Administration officials and research and Information centers.”

    “The Minister and his accompanying delegation met the Deputy National Security Adviser, Tony Blinken, and discussed with him bilateral relations, strengthening the strategic partnership, and security and political cooperation between the two countries,” the statement added.

    “The two sides also discussed important political files, including security cooperation in the fight against terrorism and the latest developments in Syria and the efforts to hold the Geneva conference (2) to find a peaceful solution to the crisis in Syria,” the statement concluded.

    Announced that the U.S. State Department on Thursday, Prime Minister John Kerry will discuss with his Iraqi counterpart Hoshyar Zebari Agreement (SFA) for strategic business between the two countries. On the sidelines of the fourth meeting of the Coordination Committee to be held in Washington today.
    The U.S. State Department said in a statement seen by (range Press), said, "Foreign Minister John Kerry will meet with his Iraqi counterpart Hoshyar Zebari during the fourth meeting of the Joint Coordination for Political Affairs and Diplomacy in Washington to discuss the framework agreement on the strategic agreement signed between the United States and Iraq, known as a description (SFA ). "
    She Foreign Affairs that "the meeting of the Joint Coordination comes in furtherance to visit Kerry to Iraq last March, and provides another opportunity to discuss direct axes of bilateral relations job," noting that "the framework agreement on work strategic joint which was founded in 2008 serves as the ground that are based upon the relationship Iraqi - U.S., and the means by which enhance bilateral strategic relationship between the two countries. "
    Promised Foreign Affairs that "the field of political cooperation, the diplomat is one of the seven areas of cooperation in accordance with the Convention on the description of SFA, and in order to enhance cooperation and coordination in the areas pertaining to interests of the joint mission between the two countries," pointing out that "the last meeting of the Joint Coordination was held in Baghdad on September 2012, and what still Iatburaaml the important for the development of the key priorities that contribute to the bilateral support stability in Iraq and the region. "
    Iraq has signed and the United States at the end of November 2008, the agreement called the framework strategy to support the ministries and agencies of the Iraqi transition from the strategic partnership with the Republic of Iraq to the areas of economic, diplomatic, cultural and security, as well as providing important sustainable rule of law, including the police development program and the completion of the coordination and supervision The report of the Fund of Iraq relief and reconstruction.
    It is expected to continue a relationship Iraq and the United States during the next phase in what is known (the Strategic Framework Agreement), which provides for the exchange and partnership between the two countries in the fields of economic, diplomatic, cultural and security.
