WASHINGTON, May 6 (Reuters) - The Daily Telegraph published an article saying the US Congress may deprive former President Barack Obama of his pension after accepting a $ 400,000 offer for a speech on Wall Street.
"During his work at the White House, Obama rejected a draft resolution that would deprive former presidents of their pension if they received large sums from others," the newspaper said.
After Obama is in a similar position, the Republican sponsors of the bill say they will revive the legislation, hoping that current President Donald Trump will sign it.
