    Shafaq News / Independent MP , Hassan al-Alawi announced on Saturday, that the unions of journalists, lawyers and a number of Iraqi civil society organizations have authorized him to form a delegation to visit President of the Republic, Jalal Talabani in Germany where he is receiving treatment since months

    “The unions of journalists, lawyers and a number of civil society organizations authorized me personally to form a delegation under his chairmanship to travel to Germany and visit Mr. Talabani ,” Alawi said in an interview to Al-Hayat newspaper briefed by "Shafaq News”.

    Alawi explained that the political situation in Iraq "died" more than two years ago, explaining that it "ended" in the absence of President, Jalal Talabani as no one knows anything about his fate since months, as well as the "absence" Vice President, Tariq al-Hashimi and Minister of Finance Rafie al-Issawi

    He added that the terms of the political process have no importance any longer under the government devoid from the ministers of defense and interior until now, and its results are "the death of 60 to 70 people daily”.

    Alawi accused Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki of trying to "end" the legislative role of Parliament for being the only form of democracy in Iraq and make it “ineffective institution through preventing young officers to attend to find out what the country is witnessing from security deterioration

    It is worth mentioning that President, Jalal Talabani is currently residing in Germany after receiving treatment from a stroke that he suffered from last year, as he is now under the supervision of medical team in Germany according to a leader of his party Najim al-Deen Karemm who is the only one authorized to talk about his health, as Kareem stresses that Talabani in continuous improvement without giving a date for his return to Iraq.
