The Permanent Representative of Iraq to the International Renewable Energy Agency Ambassador Raad Al-Alousi presented his credentials to the Director General of the Agency, Adnan Amin, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq to the Agency at its headquarters in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi.
"During the signing ceremony, the two sides discussed the possibility of joint cooperation between the two sides to enhance their work," a foreign ministry statement said.
He called on the Iraqi ambassador to the Director General of the Agency to the possibility of assisting Iraq in the field of energy, specifically electricity, especially as Iraq is going through exceptional circumstances require to provide all possibilities and assistance in the field of renewable energy.
The largest project in the Middle East, established in cooperation with the International Renewable Energy Agency and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has been launched to generate solar energy.
