Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aliya Nusayif, of the Iraqiya Hurra Coalition urged to the Government to assume the responsibility of the Syrian refugees instead of assuming it by the Kurdistan Regional Government only.

She assured in a statement received by IraqiNews.com “The Government should exert more efforts to take care of the Syrian refugees.”

“The Government must allocate more funds to aid the refugees since the allocations of the parliament for them are not enough,” she added.

“It is the duty of the government to provide health insurance for the Syrian refugees and to consider other humanitarian sides,” she concluded.

According to the UN organizations, about 168.000 Syrian refugees reside Kurdistan Region in difficult conditions.
