Shafaq News / Mutahedoun led by the parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nujaifi rejected on Saturday, the statements released by the member of the coalition, MP, Mutashar al- Samarrai.
MP, Mutashar al-Samarrai announced in a televised interview, earlier, that he refuses to cancel the pensions of MPs and described the Iraqi people as “miserable and (Dayeh) vagrant”.
A statement issued by Mutahedoun coalition received by “Shafaq News" said that the statements attributed to MP, Mutashar al-Samarrai which regarding his claim not to cancel the pensions express his personal point of view and not the coalition”.
“Our position on the issues of our people is fair and clear as we support it and work hard to implement then in fair and balanced way, and that our official positions issue from our media office exclusively,” the statement added.
The governor of Nineveh province, Ethel al-Nujaifi, one of the leaders of Mutahedoun coalition attacked Samarrai's remarks, by saying that, "It is not permissible for an official to speak in such away “.
“Dayeh” i.e. vagrant is a word used by many Iraqis to express a person who was dismissed from his job and become without salary wondering in the streets.
