Arab foreign ministers call on the Security Council to intervene to protect holy sites

This came in a resolution containing 16 items issued by the emergency meeting held at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo, at the level of foreign ministers, to discuss the Israeli aggressions in occupied Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque in response to a request by Jordan's director of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

The Arab resolution condemned the serious Israeli escalation in the city of Jerusalem, calling on Israel not to repeat the closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque in the future, and to stop all forms of escalation, including prejudice to the historical and legal situation or to impose any new facts on the ground.
He stressed the invalidity of all Israeli measures in the Al-Aqsa Mosque, calling on the Security Council to shoulder its responsibility to compel Israel to stop its policies and its continuous attacks on the city of Jerusalem.
The Arab ministers confirmed the presence of the Council of Foreign Ministers in a meeting to follow up the Israeli developments and violations against the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
