    Russia's permanent representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nibenzia, said on Thursday that Moscow had confirmed information on the involvement of competent organs of some countries in supplying weapons to terrorists in the Middle East.

    During the Security Council session devoted to counter-terrorism issues, Nebenzia said that private companies in situations of armed conflict in the region "do only what governments allow them to do."

    "Moscow has sufficient information from reliable sources to identify those who are assisting unfair traders, and even to organize arms supplies to terrorists, to do so by competent organs of some States, including the competent bodies. If necessary, we are ready to provide such concrete information. "

    Nibenzia's remarks came after the UN Security Council unanimously approved a resolution by Egypt that would deny terrorists access to light weapons. End 25 r
