Jubouri asserts that Kirkuk elections will be held on schedule

The Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri to hold elections in the province of Kirkuk by its exact date, refusing to postpone or delay to a longer period, whatever the circumstances and justifications"He said.
According to a statement by his office, "Trend Press" received a copy of it that al-Jubouri "hosted, on Thursday evening, a meeting of deputies of the province of Kirkuk and members of the Electoral Commission for elections, and saw a detailed study of the paragraph on the province of Kirkuk within the electoral law and ways to resolve the disputed materials"He said.
Jubouri urged "the meeting on the need to speed up the consensus on those articles in preparation for a vote during the next parliament session," stressing that "the deputies of Kirkuk today bear a historic responsibility before the people of their province first and in front of the Iraqi people," noting that "any delay in resolving those articles will not Be in favor of the province and its people"He said.
Al-Jubouri said that "the preference of the supreme national interest on the other is able to resolve all the problems related to those materials," explaining that "the Kirkuk elections will be held on time and that it is unreasonable and unacceptable to postpone or delay a longer period under any circumstances and justifications
