Shafaq News / Federal Court decided on Monday to re-turn the former Head of the Supreme Judicial Council , Medhat al-Mahmoud to his post after the council veto the law.
“The Federal Court set aside in its session held this morning the law of the Supreme Judicial Council voted by the parliament on the back ground of an appeal filed by State of law coalition,” A political source told “shafaq News”.
“Appealing the law will allow the current Chairman of the Federal Court Judge, Medhat al-Mahmoud to return to the office in which he was removed from being the head of the Supreme Judicial Council”.
“State of Law coalition appeal came contrary to the Constitution, which is a proposed law and is not a government-sponsored project,” he added.
The Supreme Judicial Council announced on 12 of last February, appointing the Head of the Federal appeal Court Judge, Hassan Ibrahim al-Humairi, as the Head of the Supreme Judicial Council, rather than Medhat al-Mahmoud.
