North Korea announces the hydrogen bomb characterized by explosive destructive power
North Korea has announced that it has developed a highly destructive hydrogen bomb that can be loaded on an intercontinental ballistic missile and that Kim Jong-un is personally inspecting the development of the bomb.
The North Korean leader confirmed that "all components of the hydrogen bomb, produced 100 percent in the country, the institute has succeeded in making a more sophisticated nuclear bomb."
"Kim received a salute from senior officials of the ammunition industry management of the Central Committee of the Korean Workers' Party, and scientists of the Institute of Nuclear Weapons before he was briefed on the details of nuclear weapons," the agency said.
The agency quoted the report of the Institute for Nuclear Weapons, "Scientists have risen more technical performance to the highest level of development on the basis of successes achieved in the first test of the hydrogen bomb."
The report said the hydrogen bomb, which made all of its components in the country, is "a multi-functional thermal atomic weapon with a destructive detonation force and can be detonated at high altitudes."
Pyongyang test-fired two Huasong-14 intercontinental missiles in July, prompting the UN Security Council to adopt a resolution to impose further sanctions.
