    The UN Security Council is set to hold a meeting later Friday to discuss the implications of the latest missile test by North Korea.
    According to a statement issued by the United Nations, the statement said that "the meeting will be held at 15.00 local time (19.00 GMT), closed, at the request of the United States of America, Japan"He said.
    The South Korean military announced that North Korea launched an "unknown" missile from the capital, Pyongyang.
    South Korea's Yonhap news agency quoted a statement from the country's military chief as saying.
    "North Korea (early Friday) fired a missile from an area in the capital Pyongyang, and the missile passed the Japanese airspace and reached the northern Pacific Ocean,"He said.
    The military said in its statement that the rocket reached 770 km, and cut in space distance of 3 thousand and 700 km.
     
    The statement also said South Korea and the United States were analyzing the details of the launch.
