    Baghdad
approved by the House of Commons in the Canadian Parliament, on Wednesday, a similar law for "Magnitsky Act" the US, to impose sanctions against members of Russians accused of violating human rights.

The meeting was scheduled to be held on October 2, but was adjourned to Wednesday, October 4.

Later, the law is due to be discussed in the Canadian Senate.

It should be noted that in most cases the Senate approves laws approved by the House of Commons. After the ratification of the Senate, the law will become effective if approved by the Queen of Britain as a leader of the Commonwealth, including Canada .

Canadian Foreign Minister Christia Freeland announced in May that the Canadian government supports sanctions against Russian officials who may be involved in human rights abuses. Under the new law, Canada will be able to freeze assets and property of Russian citizens who will be subject to sanctions.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has announced that the approval of the Parliament of Canada on such a law would harm relations with Moscow.[/size]
