[ltr]The Kremlin said military technical cooperation between Russia and Saudi Arabia was among the issues on the agenda of negotiations between President Vladimir Putin and King Salman bin Abdul Aziz on Thursday.[/ltr]
[ltr]Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Piskov confirmed that the Russian president and Saudi monarch had discussed the issue at the summit in Moscow and declined to give further details, saying the issue was "very sensitive."[/ltr]
[ltr]In response to a question by journalists about news of Riyadh's intention to buy the Russian S-400 air defense system, the Russian-Saudi cooperation in the field of military technology is not directed against other countries but is developing in the interests of both countries and stability in the Middle East.[/ltr]
[ltr]Biskov stressed that any concern by other countries about this cooperation is unfounded, in a clear reference to the Pentagon's comments on this matter.[/ltr]
