The Governor of Baghdad, Eng. Atwan al-Atwani, the meeting of the parliamentary committee to support service projects in the capital Baghdad and attended by representatives of parliamentary committees on finance and civil society organizations and regions, integrity and relations in addition to the Secretary of the capital and directors of service departments.
A statement issued by the Information Office of the Governor of Baghdad received a copy of which "the governor put during the meeting all the problems experienced by the capital," and called on the members of the Committee "to intervene and move on the parties concerned to disbursement of financial allocations for the nine service projects, Prime minister's approval. "
The statement added that Atawani "received assurances from the members of the Committee to support his government in the implementation of these projects also noted that the attendees agreed to hold a meeting next Wednesday in the presence of representatives of the Ministries of Finance and Planning to discuss the delay of disbursement of financial dues for new projects."
