    [ltr]Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi met on Saturday with the King of Saudi Arabia, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, and the Saudi monarch held a dinner in honor of Prime Minister Dr. Haider al-Abadi and his accompanying delegation.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"It is good to be back in Saudi Arabia on an important visit and we highly appreciate the friendship of King Salman and the Saudi people," said Abbadi,[/ltr]
    [ltr]According to Saudi sources, King Salman "welcomed the Iraqi Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation in the Kingdom, while Abadi expressed his happiness to meet with the Saudi monarch.[/ltr]
    [ltr]King Salman hosted a dinner attended by a number of members of the royal family, during which he exchanged political parties with regard to the region in general and Iraq in particular.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The meeting was attended by a number of Saudi dignitaries as well as the Minister of Trade and Investment, the head of the Saudi side in the Saudi-Iraqi coordination council, Majid bin Abdullah al-Qasabi, and the Minister of State for Arab Gulf Affairs, Thamer bin Sabhan al-Sabhan . 
    The delegation was attended by Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim Al-Jaafari, Minister of Defense Irfan Al-Hayali, Minister of Planning and Minister of Commerce Dr. Salman Al-Jumaili, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Issa, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Hassan Zeidan, Minister of Transport Kazem Fanjan, Minister of Culture Farid Rawanduzi, National Security Advisor Faleh Al Fayadh, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Dr. Mahdi Mohsen Al-Alaq, Chairman of the National Investment Authority Dr. Sami Raouf Al-Araji, Dr. Rushdi Mahmoud Al - Ani .[/ltr]

    [ltr]Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi arrived in the Saudi capital Riyadh on Sunday evening, during which he agreed to form an Iraqi-Saudi council on political and economic affairs.[/ltr]
