Regional tour initiated by Prime Minister Haider Abadi from Saudi Arabia to end in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
King Abdullah II of Jordan received Prime Minister Haider al-Abbadi in a meeting during which he discussed the "war on terror", which was one of the priorities of this file as well as the economic file.
A statement issued by the Royal Court of Jordan received a copy of the news that the talks dealt with the latest developments in the regional situation, and efforts to find comprehensive political solutions to crises in the region, in addition to the efforts of the war on terrorism, as part of a comprehensive strategy.
During the talks, King Abdullah affirmed Jordan's firm stance in support of brotherly Iraq in its efforts to maintain its security, stability, territorial integrity and cohesion of its people, in line with the constitution.
He stressed that building a secure, stable and united Iraq is an essential pillar for the security and stability of the region. He expressed "Jordan's full readiness to support Iraq with all its potential and reach a prosperous Iraq that fulfills the aspirations of its people and supports its nation."
The king extended his congratulations to Abadi on "the victories achieved by the Iraqi army against the terrorist gang in various areas of Iraq," according to the statement.
Abadi put the King in the form of the great victories achieved by the Iraqi army against terrorist gangs, in addition to the Iraqi vision for the future of the region, which is based on development and the extension of security instead of differences and wars.
Jordanian Prime Minister Hani al-Mulqi and his Iraqi counterpart Haidar al-Abadi discussed the steps of an oil pipeline project from the Iraqi city of Basra to the Jordanian port of Aqaba. The source added that al-Mulqi and Abadi "discussed the steps taken to start the pipeline project From Basra to Aqaba and the economic benefits expected from this strategic project of the two countries. "
Political analysts believe that Abadi's tour of the region is based on a comprehensive economic and economic development initiative, which will reshape the political relations between the countries and peoples of the region on a sound and lasting basis to ensure stability of relations in the face of political changes, especially after Iraq's difficult and successful experience in overcoming the threat of terrorism and division.
