Lebanese Finance Minister: We are confident of economic stability

| Economy News Baghdad: Lebanese Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil said that Lebanon and its financial institutions have the capacity to absorb the repercussions of the sudden resignation of Prime Minister Saad Hariri at the weekend. "Our impressions are good and acceptable and estimates today that Lebanon with financial institutions is able to understand the developments that have taken place," Khalil told reporters after a meeting on economy chaired by President Michel Aoun and also attended by the Governor of the Banque du Liban and other officials. "We have confirmed that we are confident of the stability of the financial and monetary situation of the country and there are many challenges ahead of us." He pointed out that "the state is able to finance itself and the management of funding itself according to constitutional and legal mechanisms and this is under full control." |
