    The Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri, yesterday, that the monitoring and accountability of the executive bodies is the responsibility guaranteed by the Constitution to the Parliament, calling for the integration of the roles of the authorities in the supervisory side.
    This came during a meeting held by Jubouri yesterday, the heads of committees and offices of inspectors and the General Integrity Commission, one day after the initial vote of parliament to abolish the offices of inspectors general. 
    "The House of Representatives has the constitutional right to monitor the work of the executive bodies and to hold them accountable if necessary, and this does not necessarily mean the abolition of the role and efforts of other regulatory bodies, but remains," Jubouri said during a meeting with the heads of committees and offices of public inspectors and the Integrity Commission. The House of Representatives is a reliable authority in oversight and accountability. " 
    "The roles of the authorities are complementary roles and the results can be determined through the extent of the application of each authority to its role in order to strengthen and ensure the success of the role of the other authority," adding that "the vote of the House of Representatives on the proposals or draft laws comes within the contexts and constitutional powers and procedures identified Rules of Procedure of the Council ".
    Al-Jubouri pointed out that "the role of the other regulatory bodies within the executive institution can not be denied because of its views and crystallization due to its close proximity to the decision maker in the ministry or institution, but also the House should take its role within its powers and constitutional contexts." 
    On Tuesday, prosecutors demanded that state departments and ministries inform him of crimes related to public money and corruption. This came a day after the House of Representatives voted to appoint Mowaffaq Mahmoud al-Obeidi to the post of chief prosecutor. 
    "The Presidency of the Public Prosecutor renewed the amnesty that it sent in 2014 in order to inform it of crimes and misdemeanors related to public money and cases of administrative and financial corruption," Justice Abdul Sattar Birqdar, spokesman of the Supreme Judicial Council, said in a statement received by al-Mada.
    "The prosecution recommended the formation of committees, bodies and councils to follow up the judgments and judicial decisions that are not implemented or whose implementation is interrupted and to announce the name of the employee who abstains from implementation and to provide the prosecution with the necessary documents so that the necessary legal procedures can be taken in accordance with the provisions of the Iraqi Penal Code." 
    A spokesman for the Judicial Council that "the public prosecutor sent a general to all ministries and non-associated with the Ministry and the provinces in order to combat administrative and financial corruption." 
    In a related context, the Integrity Commission, the ratification of decisions against officials convicted of corruption, including former directors of the Ministry of Finance and the Information and Communications Commission.
    The body, in a statement yesterday, said that "the Criminal Disciplinary Board in the Presidency of the Court of Appeal of Baghdad, ratified the verdict on the convicts (Seyamand Zeid Ahmed Othman) and Burhan Shawi Majul Tamimi, former and former executives of the Information and Communications Authority, In accordance with the provisions of Article 331 of the Penal Code and the meaning of Articles 47, 48 and 49 thereof. " 
    She added that "the decision of absentee verdict issued against the convict (Riad Mohsen Hassan al-Ani), the former director-general of the administrative and financial department of the Ministry of Finance has been arrested under the provisions of Article 330 of the Penal Code," indicating that " Shaikhli) former head of the administrative body of the Army Sports Club in accordance with the provisions of Article 331 of the Penal Code.
    "The Criminal Appeals Board in the Presidency of the Baghdad Appeals Court has also ratified five decisions issued against the convict (Hayat Mahdi Jawad Taqi Al Sarraf), the former director of real estate registration in Karbala province, who is subject to imprisonment in accordance with the provisions of Article 331 of the Penal Code, Reem Hamed Abbas, customer service officer at Elaf Islamic Bank, was sentenced to prison in accordance with Article 453 of the Penal Code.
